Is it possible to fry breakfast egg rolls in the air fryer?

That’s right! In addition to achieving the crispy texture you desire, air frying breakfast egg rolls is an excellent alternative to deep frying.

  • Bacon: Buy precooked bacon or fry up uncooked strips.
  • Cheese: In addition to cheddar, I enjoy Colby jack and pepper jack cheeses as well.
  • Egg Roll Wrappers: Stores should have these in the refrigerated produce section.
  • Eggs: It is best to make this recipe scrambled.
  • Oil. Oil sprayers work best with vegetable or canola oil.
  • Hashbrowns (optional): Eggrolls made with this filling ingredient replace cabbage in traditional eggrolls, making them a full meal.

How to Make Air Fryer Egg Rolls

  • Prepare your air fryer ahead of time with eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns.
    • Additionally, you can prepare them separately on your stovetop if you do not want to use the air fryer.
  • Place some water in a bowl and let it stand for a few minutes
  • Taking one egg roll wrapper, lay it flat on a plate with one corner pointing towards your belly button.
Taking Ingredient Egg Rolls
  • The egg, bacon, hashbrowns, and cheese for this version should be placed straight down the center of the egg roll wrapper. An egg roll wrapper should have a width of about 1 inch, spanning diagonally the length of the wrapper, leaving 1/2 inch without filling.
Egg Roll Wrapper
  • To make the egg roll full, fold the two corners in far enough so that the fold touches the filling.
  • Start by folding over the egg roll filling and two tucked-in corners on the opposite side of the egg roll wrapper.
Folding Over the Egg Roll Filling
  • Make sure that the eggroll is rolled tightly (but not too tightly) until it resembles a cylinder.
  • For sealing the eggroll, brush water on its edge with a basting brush.
Egg Roll Baking Tray
  • Apply a light coating of oil to the egg roll.
  • Turn the egg rolls halfway through cooking them at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Egg Rolls Cook Time
  • After the eggrolls have cooled for 5 minutes, remove them from the air fryer.
  • Then dip in the condiment of your choice and enjoy!

Is it okay to use homemade egg roll wrappers?

Yes, of course! The egg roll wrappers can be made from scratch if you wish. You will need to ensure that they are thin enough to get crispy in the air fryer.

Do I need to make sure that the egg rolls don’t get soggy?

The scrambled eggs, especially, should not be too wet. Aside from that, they will become crispier if they are served soon after being air fried.

Do you have any tips for storing leftover egg rolls?

If you want to store your egg rolls in the fridge for up to four days, let them cool before storing them in an airtight container. Then reheat it in the air fryer for about 3-4 minutes at 350 degrees.

Is it possible to double the batch and freeze it?

After your egg rolls have cooled completely (or been shaped and frozen before cooking), place them on a sheet pan in a single layer in the freezer for one hour. Once the egg rolls are partially frozen, place them in a freezer bag and seal it tightly. You can freeze the meat for up to three months.
